Who are we and what is our vision?
Our vision for event delivery organisation ‘Victoria Downhill’ is to be the premier organiser of downhill skate & street luge events in the state of Victoria. We aim to make our state the best and biggest venue for the country.
The organisation will focus on growing the sport by fostering a large and supportive community. Alongside helping the gravity powered sports become more legitimately recognised over the next 5 years
The organisation will be run by passionate skater’s, luger’s and board members localised in Victoria. Run independently, with collaborative efforts from VSA and ASRA, to help run events & develop the gravity sports scene in Australia.
As a non for profit focused entity our main focus is providing events in Victoria that fulfil the gravity sport niche to a high quality and safety standard. Ensuring we put riders and events happening first.
Our events aim to promote a new set of emerging gravity sports that are zero emission and promote an active lifestyle and community within a wide range of diverse backgrounds, walks of life, ages & cultures.
Particularly in areas of youth & disadvantaged Australians. Whilst providing a safe & supportive road environment to athletes to train and represent Australia in the World Downhill Skateboarding Championship, World Skate Games & Olympics.
Each event delivers large amounts of positive social collaboration between communities, councils, stakeholders & promotes tourism, social & economic benefits to each region and its businesses.

Our Goals
Grow
Becoming a recognisable and professional organisation that delivers premium and high quality safe events for skateboarders and lugers to attend and grow their skills and discover a new sport in a safe environment.
Multiple events
Running at least 3 events a year in Victoria, targeted to international & interstate riders. To cater to a wide range of skill levels and audience.
EDUCATE
*Create a coaching, longboard/luge workshop and classes that can be run by riders in the scene (providing athletes more income they can then use to race and build the scene).
*Have a unique branding that reflects the exciting sport of downhill skate and street luge.
Professional and Diverse Team
*Be composed of staff that are skilled, experienced in their roles and are reliable.
*Provide many people the opportunity to get involved in an exciting event, whilst getting rewarded for their efforts.
Encouraging physical activity, community engagement and providing a more accessible community and sporting environment.
International Reach
* Attract and increase the attendance of international riders to come visit Australia. By offering multiple world class events.
*Create engaging media and marketing campaigns to engage international audiences and riders via methods such as media and live streaming.
Benefit
*Give back to the local community in many ways with increased tourism activity, social and community engagement, encouragement of physical activity, donations & more.
*Provide employment opportunities to local riders, creatives, course marshals and others involved in the community.
Female & Diverse Participation
*Increase the attendance of women in luge & skateboarding.
*Help grow the number of female participation by at least 6 girls to represent Australia in the 'World Roller Games'
*Provide a more welcoming atmosphere & environment for women to join & partake in the sport.
*Provide more role models for girls in the sporting community.
*Help grow the WRG & Olympic team women's team.
Foster Community Relationships
*Create good relationships with stakeholders in each council region such as businesses, councils, sponsors & residents.
*Run events regularly to be a unique cultural icon.
Improve Mental Health
*Exercise & outdoor activity are monumental to a healthy lifestyle and help combat mental illness particularly in Australia's younger population. VIC DH aims to promote and improve mental health through an active sport that takes place outdoors & in nature.
Foster Community Relationships
*Create good relationships with stakeholders in each council region such as businesses, councils, sponsors & residents.
*Run events regularly to be a unique cultural icon.
Athlete Opportunities
*Provide local & emerging athletes regular events to grow their skills & train safely in a safe road environment.
*Grow the number of local and national athletes each year.
*Provide work opportunities for athletes to earn income for their competing costs whilst doing something that gives back to the community.
Reduce Emissions
Encourage & introduce a zero emissions sport as downhill skate & luge are naturally powered by gravity.

The Team
Our team is made up of a variety of backgrounds & skills who all help make our events a possibility and form a intergral part of our team.
We are all people who are passionate about what we do and provide various skillsets from various industries & skillsets to make this project a reality, from creative artists, photographers, web developers,industrial designers to ground crew, track marshalls,well traveled athletes & media, communication experts.
